History

CAMTECH was founded in 2001 by President and Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Francis Tormen as a computer and nursing assistant career training institute. In 2006 we began training licensed practical nurses in an effort to accommodate the growing demand for healthcare personnel and subsequently opened a new campus in Seaford, Delaware.  Our first overseas campus was opened in Kumba, Cameroon in 2008. After enjoying many years of success in graduating record numbers of students who are currently either gainfully employed in different areas within the healthcare field or pursuing advanced education, CAMTECH diversified its program offerings to accommodate the growing need for a diversified and highly technical healthcare field. As a result we now offer many more programs such as: Phlebotomy, Medical Assistant, Electrocardiogram Technician, Pharmacy Technician, Patient Care Technician, Medical Office Assistant, and Home Health Aid.

Given the growing need for computer skills in healthcare and other careers, CAMTECH is now offering computer education programs such as; Basic Computer Training, Certified A+ Technician, and Information Security Specialist.  In our 13 years history we have graduated many students who are currently realizing their lifelong dreams of working in the medical and computer field. With healthcare needs set to increase in the coming decades as the baby boomer generation ages and as advances in healthcare continue to increase human lifespan, the demand for healthcare personnel with the type of technical competencies offered by CAMTECH will soar.

Those who take advantage of these training programs today will be leaders in their areas of specialization in the coming years. We are poised to continue to innovate and exercise creativity in designing new programs to meet the workforce needs of the 21st Century.
