Program Goal

The goal of this program is to prepare graduates for careers in the pharmacy profession where they will either assist pharmacists with a variety of medication preparation, labeling and record-keeping tasks or perform a variety of functions in a pharmaceutical manufacturing company.

Program Description

The Pharmacy Technician Course is a 20-week program of instruction that prepares individuals for entry-level jobs as a Pharmacy Technician in retail and institutional settings. Students will learn to prepare prescription orders under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, perform applicable pharmacy calculations and comply with federal and state regulations.

Program Duration:          20 weeks

Program Eligibility:         Must be at least 18 years of age and have a GED or high school diploma

Program Fees:                   $6995 (payment plan available upon request)

This fee includes a blood pressure cuff, stethoscope, two sets of uniforms, books and registration fee for certification examination and drug test.

Program Certifications

Upon completion of this program students will be able to take the certification examination offered by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board to become a nationally Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT).

Program Flexibility

To accommodate work and family schedules, we have flexible day, evening and weekend program schedules.

Employment opportunities

Graduates from this high demand program may find employment with pharmacies, pharmaceutical manufacturers, hospitals, mail-order drug companies, long-term care facilities and insurance companies.
